Musical Pears

Our Terms and Conditions

Our Terms and Conditions

This agreement is established between Musical Pears, a subsidiary of Woohoo Music Ltd (referred to as “the Company”), and the parent or legal guardian (referred to as “the Adult”) of the child(ren) specified in the booking form.

The Adult acknowledges having read and agrees to abide by the terms of this agreement.

The duration of the contract between the Company (referred to as “us/our/we”) and the Adult is outlined in the booking form. The course fee is £100 per child for our 5-Day Summer Holiday Singing Workshop. You can either pay in full via our payment service online, or set up a payment instalment with us. We require a minimum of £20 deposit to secure your child’s place upon registration, then the rest to be cleared a week before workshop start date (5th August 2024), unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by Musical Pears.

Cancellation Charges:

The Company will apply cancellation charges according to the following schedule, per child who does not attend:

May Half Term Workshop (28th – 31st May 2024):

Between May 20th and May 24th: Half of the workshop fee (£40) is due.

After May 24th: The full workshop fee is due. Cancellations after this period are non-refundable.

Summer Workshop (12th-16th August 2024):

After 5th August 2024: £100 cancellation charge per child.

Refunds, if permitted, will be issued via BACS upon receipt of a written cancellation request.

Refunds:

The Company does not offer refunds or makeup sessions for missed sessions, except where covered by insurance. Failure to pay the booking fee by the due date may result in contract cancellation, with the forfeiture of the booking fee.

In the unlikely event of workshop cancellation by the Company due to circumstances beyond our control, such as lockdowns or severe weather, no compensation will be provided, and booking fees will not be refunded.

In the event of insufficient bookings for a workshop, the Company reserves the right to cancel the activity. In such cases, alternative dates will be offered, or a full refund will be provided to the Adult who paid the booking fee.

Please note, it is not possible to refund any amount if you are on a payment instalment plan and if you decide to withdraw before the 5th August 2024. If you have any questions, please contact info@musicalpears.co.uk.

Insurance:

Our Public Liability Insurance covers children under our care during workshop hours. Personal Accident Insurance is available through most insurance providers.

Conditions:

The Adult must inform the Company of any allergies, medical conditions, or special dietary needs of each child. Children attending our workshops must be in good health; those deemed unfit or ill upon arrival may be refused admission.

The Company reserves the right to exclude or dismiss any child who persistently violates our behaviour policy. Transportation home will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian, with no refund provided for missed days or transportation costs.

Consent:

At the time of booking, the Adult will provide written consent for each child participating in the workshop. This consent acknowledges participation in supervised activities, including singing, games, and authorises the provision of first aid or medical treatment if necessary.

General:

The Company assumes no liability for personal injury, fatality, or loss/damage to personal property, except in cases of proven negligence by our employees or agents. We operate independently of any school or venue used for workshop activities.

Musical Pears staff are mandated to report suspected abuse or disclosures of abuse according to our Safeguarding Policy.

We will need to collect some personal details from you and the children on your booking so we can process your booking, such as names, ages and any applicable medical or dietary restrictions. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the necessary permission to pass on the personal details of all the children that you are making a booking for. Additionally, we would like to hold and use some of your details for future marketing purposes, for example sending you promotional information. Personal details collected for bookings are used for processing purposes and future marketing. Please notify us if you prefer not to receive marketing communications from Musical Pears.

Information provided on our website and brochure is subject to change without notice. Photographs taken at workshops may be used for marketing; please inform us in writing if you do not wish your child to be included.
